The Central Transmission Utility (CTU) is proactively formulating plans for the ISTS Communication System for the next five years on a rolling basis, updated annually. These plans identify specific transmission projects and their associated communication infrastructure, along with their implementation timelines.
For new ISTS stations, CTU has started to include this requirement in the RFP inputs for TBCB projects from Aug'23 projects onwards after communication from CEA-PCD. For the existing substations same requirement is also to be made available. CEA-PCD vide letter dtd.22.07.2024 also confirms following for the existing system.
